The primary aim of the Tamil club is to inculcate the language skills. They are motivated to develop oratorical skills, writing skills and communication skills through word power, short stories, storytelling, group discussion, mono act, debate. These activities enrich the students to understand the language better with new vocabulary and accurate pronunciation

Excelling in studies alone need not be the criteria to assess the intelligence or caliber of a student. So, this club aims to bring out the abundant skills and talents that are endowed in every child. The utmost aim of this club is to develop the four skills namely listening, speaking, reading & writing. This is provided through fun and enjoyment.

They are motivated to enrich their vocabulary through variety of activities and pays attention to the close reading of grammar. It helps students to read, to relate with content, to understand to recall, to think and to interact in small and large groups. Pupils are made to provide experiences drawn out from their immediate environment, classroom, home and society with effective communication.

We teach children easy way of addition, subtraction, multiplication & division of numbers that helps them to solve bigger problems faster. Various tools are also used for easy understanding. More importance is given to solve a problem by the following methods: Identify the problem, Analyze the problem, Describe the problem, draw methods in solving the problem, Interpret the problem, draw a solution, and Check the result.

They will examine how different cultures have contributed to the field of mathematics. Mathematical tools can be traditional, technological or social. We will share with them the exciting activities that involves the use of Geometric shapes, ten frames, Geo boards, Toy clock, Place value cards, Number lines, Beads for counting, geometric technology computers.

Science is a part of our life. Experiments broaden the knowledge and widen the interest in learning science. It is to develop students’ awareness and concern for scientific issues in personal, social, environmental and technological contexts. Children are encouraged to do activities in a creative and innovative way. To create interest in latest inventions and discoveries of science in various fields and to get acquainted with the life history and contributions of great scientists.

Science projects, models, hands on experiments, quiz, seminar & workshop, assignments, Presentations, exhibitions are conducted to bring out their own ideas and to widen their horizon. Every year, students visit science museums and ecological parks for awareness. They participate in various competitions and acquire better knowledge and improve their skills to next level.

To make the students eco-friendly, to create a pollution free surrounding and to undertake trekking and bird watching. To study the characteristics and livelihood of birds, animals and insects. Together we are creating a world in which every child can play, learn and grow in nature. The club promotes environmental awareness among the members by the activities like excursion to park, field trips, bird watching and campaigns against pollution. The club aims to glorify the city of COIMBATOPRE and bring back the lost greenery of the city and joy. It further aims to inculcate a sense of awareness about the environment and how to improve.

ABC shall always be proud of its Nature club for it follows the motto being “To strengthen the unity of mankind and the nature – for nature’s sake”. At this let us awaken at nature need.

Quizzers improve and expand their knowledge on area either general or in specific. Quiz competitions enable students to think from different angles or simply to think pout of the box. It promotes group harmony in organizations, schools or just a group of friends. Man has travelled to the moon walked in space, stays in space stations and does research. As students, these individuals must have taken certain steps to increase their knowledge, one of these steps of yesterday, or today and perhaps tomorrow is acquiring “GENERAL KNOWLEDGE”.

We conduct quizzes every Saturday for classes IV to VIII to provide them a platform to showcase their skills. Through this club, we ensure to motivate and to bring the best out of the maximum number of students. In this club, care has been taken to make the students aware of things happening around them.

The 20th century is the period of rapid developments in science and technology influencing every aspect of human life. One of the greatest things that man has ever created is perhaps “The Computer Age”. It is an amazing machine that has brought about revolving any progress in making the present generation electronically conscious in their lives. The field of computers is evolving at such a pace, where concepts, technology and terminology are continuously changing.

Our school has tied-up with Bharathidhasan University in teaching computer science certificate courses to our students. The make the students sound enough in IT education, we have been conducting certificate courses from V to IX. Students are helped to make projects, prepare for quizzes, and attend workshops to evolve themselves to the changing environment.

We are living in a materialistic world that is competitive and if we need to survive, we need to find ways and means to fight it. Yoga and meditation are the effective tools that would help us to ease out stress and keep us physically and mentally healthy.

Yoga is very popular all over the world because it is good for health and life. It is also believed that yoga helps effectively in curing diseases. Meditation makes you aware that your inner attitude determines your happiness. To experience the benefits, regular practice is necessary. Yoga and meditation retract at the art of living which helps you to get into a deep mystical inward journey and all your needs will be taken care of throughout your stay by your dedication.

ABC believes that the best age to start practicing in this crucial domain is before adolescence. The students of ABC right from their young age are encouraged to practice yoga.

The school has separate and independent brass and pipe bands and they steal the time light during the important functions in our school. The Band troupe is administered and trained by professional band masters. The students learn to play the instruments from standard VI.

Yoga and music are given special attention. They are taught during school hours. Two periods a week are earmarked for yoga and music.

Robotics occupies a prominent place in our day-to-day activities. Our students of sixth and seventh standards are given robotics training under the guidance of experts from Beta Technology. Initially they are given basic training. Advanced courses are conducted in the higher classes.

We are happy to say that we follow “Green Garden” handwriting method in our school. Our management is very interested and encourages the students to improve their writing skill. The “Green Garden Handwriting Group” conducts handwriting competition every year on children’s day and teacher’s day.

Students from standard I to IX participate in this competition. They also conduct competition for teachers where teachers also get an opportunity to showcase their skill. The Green Garden Group provides certificates and prizes to the students and teachers for their encouragement.

Our school has tied-up with the NIIT in teaching Computer Science courses to our students. To make the students sound enough in IT education, we have been conducting courses for standards V to IX.
